Gluta-C Skin Lightening Cream

Skin lightening creams are great when you want to brighten skin and remove blemishes and spots that form as a result of age, acne and pimples, liver spots, melasma, etc. or simply give your skin a lighter overall tone.  The chemistry of these products is still being researched, which probably explains the low number of skin lightening creams on the market today.  Basically, they all work to revitalise the skin, peel away the dead tissue and dissolve the dark pigmentation associated with it, and slow down the formation of melanin or reduce its concentration in the layers of the skin.

A number of chemical products have been tried.  You will have heard of mercury, hydroquinone, niacinimide and others and new ones are being invented all the time.  Gluta-C is based on a formulation of Glutathione, Alpha Arbutin, Kojic acid and Retinol or Vitamin A among other ingredients.

The Gluta-C Skin Lightening Cream Brand

Gluta-C is formulated with plant-derived ingredients like Alpha Arbutin (from bearberry and blueberry) and Kojic Acid (from malting rice) and, as such, it has a mild, skin-friendly non-irritant effect on your skin, even when it is used in the most sensitive parts of your body.  The irritant action of some of the ingredients is finely balanced by the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant action of other ingredients like tyrosine, glyceride and Vitamin C.  Besides lightening the skin, Gluta-C helps the skin fight pimples, liver spots, freckles and wrinkles.  You can also use it to remove scars and the unsightly marks left by minor and major burns.

How to Use Gluta-C Skin Lightening Cream

Most skin lightening creams and lotions work best when applied at night, perhaps to reduce the counter-effect of exposure to ultraviolet light.  For Gluta-C, the recommended way to apply it involves washing the skin first using soap.  Glutathione or Arbutin skin lightening soap is to be preferred if you have it.  Both glutathione and Arbutin work to inhibit the formation of melanin and scatter it evenly in the top layer of the skin.  With the skin washed, rinse it lightly with water and wipe it dry with a soft towel.  Then, when the skin is still damp, apply a pea-sized amount of cream and spread it evenly on the skin.

Some of the ingredients in the cream work to enable its penetration into the layers of the skin and you do not need to rub it in yourself – just a light caressing motion with your fingertips will do, only remember to keep it away from eyes, nose and mouth.  The following morning you need to wash your face with glutathione or Arbutin soap, then rinse and apply some moisturiser and sun cream (to counter the UV light again).

Where Can I Find Gluta-C Skin Lightening Cream?

Gluta-C is currently ranked high among skin lightening creams (along with Revitol, Meladerm and SkinBright among others) and you can find it for the pocket friendly price of around £25 in most major beauty shops including:

  • Boots
  • Superdrug
  • The Body Shop

Skin lightening creams have been formulated and reformulated over time.  A few of the ingredients that worked in the past have been discontinued, even banned, because they were harmful to the body.  Gluta-C skin lightening cream offers a revolutionary formulation that is guaranteed to lighten your skin without any side effects.
